Spirit Drive Update: It's Not Too Late!

How great are Your works, LORD!

With sincere appreciation, the St. Gabriel Catholic Radio AM 820 family wishes to thank you, both those who prayed for AM 820 and those who extended financial support to AM 820 during the 2012 Spring Spirit Drive last week.

We are so thankful to have many priests, deacons and volunteers who provided their gifts to make this event fruitful.

The Spirit Drive resulted in taking a strong step forward, reaching nearly 60% of our annual needs for new sustaining members and new business underwriters. For those who have made a commitment to financially partner in this work of the new evangelization, please remember to keep us between your gas and electric bill.

If you've not had the chance to get behind this effort with your support, it's not too late. Please prayerfully consider the ways you can support St. Gabriel Catholic Radio.

Become a Sustaining Member for just $20 per month (.67 cents per day) and join us in Turning up the Faith in our parishes all over Ohio. With the new station AM 820, we need new Sustaining Members to reach our goal of 750 Sustaining Members by the end of 2012 – that’s an average of just seven Sustaining Members per parish. If not you, then who?

"My life has been enriched so much by St. Gabriel Catholic Radio. I was able to use what I have learned from listening about the teachings of the Church to help bring my sister into the Catholic Church this past Easter!"

"I LOVE listening to St. Gabriel Catholic Radio! I have been a fallen away Catholic for several years and am moving back to the church due to the wonderful "food" I receive during my daily commute to and from work from your station. It was a lucky day for me when I found AM 820!!"

- Karen

"Thank you to everyone at St. Gabriel Catholic Radio. You have made me a better Catholic."

- Jerry

"My evening listening begins during my commute and I race into the house so as not to miss anything!
Should I be concerned about this "addiction"?"

- Vicky
a regular listener and volunteer

"As a convert, the religious education that I receive from listening to St. Gabriel Catholic Radio has been a tremendous blessing! St Gabriel not only teaches me the faith, but just as importantly, helps me live the faith."

- Greg
parishioner at St. Mary Lancaster

" On June 16, 2010, I had surgery for stage 3 ovarian cancer. The doctors did not expect me to live. The Lord kept telling me to trust him, and I did. The recovery was 6 months long. During that time, I had six chemo treatments 3 weeks apart. St. Gabriel Catholic Radio was on all day and all night. Sometimes I would awake from sleep and hear the words I needed to hear. It helped me through as I kept my eyes on the Lord, and I was very peaceful. The cancer was a blessing. It brought my family close together, and it brought healing into our marriage. "

"I had one foot in the Church and the other foot on a banana peel until I started listening to St. Gabriel.
I’ve referred AM 820 to my friends and now we all are starting to live our faith and are involved in a Scripture study together."

- Studio Visitor

"St. Gabriel Catholic Radio is the one source in the Diocese where I feel like I’m sitting in the community living room learning about what’s going on in local Catholic Community. I get more news... about parishes, leaders... what’s up in the Catholic community that I feel, for the first time, that I’m informed. St. Gabriel is bringing it all together. You are changing the tenor and tone of the Catholic conversation."

- Dave
a regular listener and volunteer

"God used you to find me, His lost sheep. I was lost and now I’m found. I was blind and now I can see. I thank you for the wonderful ministry that you do, and particularly that you do it faithfully, talking about both the bitter and the sweet and not compromising the Truth."

- Michelle

An Inquirer in RCIA
"A few weeks ago I was driving down the highway and saw a Catholic Radio AM 820 bumper sticker on the back of a minivan. I was interested in what Catholic Radio would be like so I switched over.  I haven’t changed the dial since that day. I have had so many questions answered and so much positive reinforcement since I have been listening... I want to thank you so much for everything that you do and the constant faith that you help give to and or restore in peoples' lives. You brought Jesus Christ back into my life and I can’t thank you enough. I officially start RCIA in the fall. Thanks again for everything that you do for our Lord and for the Catholic Community."
